We were at the library today and the title of a book caught my eye: How to Make Someone Love You Forever in 90 Minutes or Less. First of all, you can’t MAKE anyone love you. You might be able to MAKE them say they do by using threats or force. But wow, in 90 minutes or less. Seriously?
Of course the book was directly next to The Tiger Woods Syndrome: Why Men Prowl and How Not to Become the Prey
Sad commentary on society today. Supposedly we are not supposed to judge a book by its cover. Not exactly sure why. But then again, most of the Bibles I’ve seen have the plainest covers out there. Sure some may be leather and some say “Holy Bible” in gold lettering. And some may have Psalty the Singing Songbook or cute little Veggies on the front. But don’t judge the book by its cover. Judge by its Author. And its content.
And the underlying theme from cover to cover – Jesus Christ. It didn’t take 90 minutes for Him to love you. He’s loved you before you were born. And there’s no coersion or MAKING Him love you. It was His heart to love you even at your most unlovable moments.
I’m so glad He’ll love me forever.

at first i was like “sher, get me this book” then i was like maybe its a sham….i agree you cant make anyone love you, its a process, something built and nurtured over time….great post sher, we all love you! So keep up the blogging!! =)
Thanks for the encouragement Jon
By the way, that book got good reviews on Amazon. lol
Hi Sher,
I could probably agree with a book called “How to Get Someone to Love You FOR 90 Minutes”.
Sherri, I enjoyed again your Mother’s Day blog for me. I love you for doing that. Thank you.
I think you can make someone love you forever in that amount of time. It is pretty much what people do when they date. Look really good, don’t tell them your faults and tell them what they want to hear. That is the difference with God. He sees the real me and still loves me!
