I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I want to be more honest. Well not necessarily that I want to, but that I probably should be. And I also mentioned that some things are just private and shouldn’t be shared. Well I honestly don’t know if this falls into that category or not. But considering that most of you who read my blog already know this and it’s not really private info, I’m going to go ahead. Before I chicken out.
I’m happy tonight. I just got off the phone with my Dad. It’s been a long time since we chatted like that. It was so great to hear his voice!
My Dad got released from prison today. He was in for 5 years. And no, I’m not going to go into why he was there. Obviously he broke the law. There have been a lot of hurts involved in this whole situation, but I am happy to say that we still have a relationship even though it has been strained in a lot of ways. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster for our family to say the least.
But he’s out. And I got to talk to him.
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for our family and specifically for my Dad. The Lord is gracious and the Lord is good. Please do not stop praying now. In fact, more prayer would be wonderful
So how’s that for honest?

As for being honest, this was good! Although, like you said some of us who are close to you know this already, but it is still a great start sher!
Thanks so much for the encouragement Jon!
This day has been anticipated for a long time and the need for more prayer has just begun. The Lord’s forgiveness and grace is limitless and super abounding. There is nothing He can’t do!
I’m so happy that he has a new chance to serve the Lord and be used for His glory again. The Lord must be really happy too.
Super abounding grace. I love the sound of that!
Nice to hear he was released. I hope the healing can begin for you all. I’m sure the relationship is strained, but you will find your way. Hugs to you!
